SA0DC – Dance Coach

We’re looking for experienced dance teachers who have great enthusiasm and people skills, to build a positive relationship with children and adults to come on board as a dance teacher for our expanding dance programme we have available at Sport Aberdeen. Our dance classes run from ages 18 months all the way to P7 with classes also available for adults.

We are operating in several venues across the city with our P1-P7 classes, with aims to build on young people’s confidence and skills development through a 50-week programme of different dance styles including Hip Hop Urban, Contemporary Lyrical and Jazz Musical Theatre classes, so a strong understanding of the basics of Jazz, Contemporary, Hip Hop Dance and Musical Theatre is desirable.

Alongside this we also have 18 months-3 years Tiny Toes classes aiming to introduce basic movements, props and lights for tots to participate in creative movement. These classes are designed to provide a sensory dance experience for tots to enhance their listening and responsive skills, coordination and balance. Our adults classes are focused on dance fitness making dance a part of older adults weekly fitness regime.

Our Let’s Dance Holiday Camps are a great way for children to come along to learn various dance styles, drama and lots of creative fun for children aged 5-12. During these week-long camps, children will have the opportunity to participate in a variety of dance styles and creative drama and art activities. Dance Aberdeen aims are focused primarily on confidence building, creativity & learning different dance styles from the fundamentals for all ages.
