Active Girls Committee activities as part of Women and Girls in Sport Week 2022

29.9.22

The Active Girls Committee group was set up in 2016 and has female representation from all secondary schools across Aberdeen. The main aim is to support, guide and motivate more females to participate in sport and physical activity, reducing any barriers to participation.

This year, Scottish Women and Girls in Sport Week is taking place from Monday 3 to Sunday 9 October 2022. The theme for the sixth annual week is visibility and partnerships and the hashtag you can use to spread the word on social media is #SheCanSheWill.

Every year, this particular week presents the perfect chance to shine a light on the positive impact sport and being active has on physical, mental and social health.

The Active Girls Committee has arranged a series of events to support Women and Girls in Sport Week and everything is FREE to attend!

Aimed at Primary 7 to S2 pupils, girls will have the opportunity to attend a fun session at Jump In trampoline park. Try something new, make new friends and enjoy getting active with other girls!
