How often do you get active and where?

I get active about twice a week, usually at Northfield or Sheddocksley.

Do you go to classes or to the gym?

I tend to go to the gym mostly, I use the functional training suite, the studio – which is where I spend most of my time -, free-weights and strength training

Who do you get active with?

Friends mostly. I sometimes come on my own, it really depends on my work schedule the kind of time I can spend

How does getting active make you feel?

It makes me feel really good. I feel it if I miss it. If I miss my normal gym Tuesdays, I miss the endorphins it gives me. It’s good to get out and feel strong.

How does getting active improve your wellbeing?

It’s a good stress reliever. It gives you positive endorphins and makes you feel ace after

How would you encourage others to get active?

It doesn’t really matter where you are on your fitness journey. Everyone has to start somewhere. Most people think that everyone that goes to the gym are super fit but they’re really not. I’m not, and I’m here twice a week. It’s not necessarily about losing weight, it’s about moving and being healthy.
