SA594 - Head Tennis Coach

Sport Aberdeen wish to appoint a tennis professional to operate as Aberdeen Tennis Centre Head Coach. We are looking for a professional, fun and dynamic individual to deliver our mini, junior and adult tennis programmes, focusing on participation and inclusion.

The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering on court tennis coaching as well as Head Coach off court duties. The on court / off court working ratio will be 25:5 hours per week (at 30 hr contract) or 30:7 hours per week (at 37 hr contract).

Summary of Head Coach Duties include:

  • Deliver high quality tennis coaching within the Sport Aberdeen, ‘Aberdeen Tennis Academy’ programme at Aberdeen Tennis Centre;
  • The Head Coach will be responsible for mentoring and advising Assistant Tennis Coaches and other members of the coaching team who are recently qualified.
  • Promote, and be involved in the running of Sport Aberdeen tennis tournaments and competition programme.
  • Undertake limited administrative duties. Such as support the operation of Aberdeen Tennis Academy player progression and shifts in line with LTA framework
  • We offer a competitive salary and benefits package that rewards success.  In addition, you will have the opportunity to increase earning potential by delivering private coaching on an enhanced rate of pay at £26.25 per hour.
