We have a couple of volunteers who are looking to run an after-school Girls Club, for P6 and P7 girls to come along take part in different sports each week.

We know that girls participation in sport and physical activity can drop off towards the end of primary school and the start of secondary school. We have been able to organise these sessions because a volunteer approached Active Schools and she wanted to run some girls-only activities, to give them a safe space to enjoy sport as girls.

Sessions will take place on Tuesdays after school in the gym hall. Girls will be able to take part in a variety of fun sports and activities week by week, coming to the gym hall at the end of school and finishing at 3.50pm.

Day: Tuesdays

Times: 3.00-3.50pm

Venue: Culter Primary School gym hall

Dates: Tuesdays 7th November – 12th December

Cost: Free

Sessions will take place every Tuesday unless there is a school holiday or in-service day, or the gym hall is unavailable. For any cancelled sessions, all participants signed up will receive an email update. So long as girls have indoor shoes on, there is no requirement to change for the activity, although they can do if they wish.
